International Healing Center Ministries
Pastors John and Kabasinga began International Healing Center Ministries in July 2005. Their initial focus was hospital evangelism and job training for girls who had dropped out of school. Together, they established a large church that became the spiritual and social center of their region. Pastor Kabasinga was widowed in 2012 and has since led the ministry.
Samaritan International School started in 2014 at the church building in Karangazi, Rwanda with 20 students. Many of these were children of parents who were survivors of the 1994 Rwanda genocide. Some eventually became orphans. A beautiful school building was constructed using funds donated by the government of Japan. Through the years, the school grew to serve 325 students from ages 3 to 12.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
Romans 1:16 NIV
Our ministry became involved with Pastor Kabasinga in 2017 as part of a coordinated team effort to bring emotional and spiritual healing to those who had experienced the trauma and devastation of the genocide. Since this dramatic beginning, it has been our joy to work with International Healing Center Ministries through visits focused on discipleship, evangelism, and building Kingdom relationships.
A challenging transition came in 2020 when the church building, all the school buildings, and the property owned by International Healing Center Ministries were claimed by the Rwandan government for expansion of the Gabiro Air Force Base. The church and school were forced to move to the nearby city of Nyagatare.
A positive outcome of the COVID lockdown was a radio broadcast Pastor Kabasinga began that provided new methods for teaching, evangelizing, and encouraging Rwandans and those living in nearby nations.

Propelled by wisdom, passion, and the efforts of many, International Healing Ministries is growing again. Their church, school, and bi-weekly radio program are bringing blessings to thousands. It is Supernatural Marriage & Mission’s joy to have the opportunity of co-laboring with Pastor Kabasinga and her wonderful team in Rwanda!
